The people behind montréal.ad

The montréal.ad project was initiated by the Association of Quebec Advertising Agencies (AAPQ), which has a membership of more than 60 MarCom agencies that employ more than 5,000 people. In an era of market globalization, montréal.ad reflects the collective force behind Quebec’s advertising industry, which decided to promote its best advertising creations through this unique platform of mass communication.

In this context, Quebec intends to put forward the quality of its advertising offer through training, talents and innovation.

Training

In the past years, the advertising industry developed a series of training programmes designed to follow the shifts in the ad business and to meet advertisers’ requirements. Let’s just mention the creation, eight years ago, of a Graduate Diploma in MarCom–the DESSCM from HEC Montreal–, a B.A. in MarCom from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM) in 2007, and a project for a Graduate Diploma in Creation from l’INIS.

Talents

In short, Quebec abounds in talents and bilingual and multicultural resources coming from all over the world. At the cross roads of American and European realities, MarCom agencies understand global challenges and know how to adapt international campaigns to national markets. The unique strategic creativity shown by Quebec agencies for local, regional and national publics largely passed the test and relies on innovation and the last trends in advertising.

Innovation

On that subject, let’s mention Quebec’s thriving media and their high concentration per capita as well as the continuous and exponential development of its expertise in video games, digital imaging and multimedia.

In this perspective, an advertiser is therefore very well served here.

AAPQ welcomes you in this creativity hub and area of freedom that is montréal.ad.
